USSA Judges Workshop/Test

John Dieselman and Pat Stadel are planning to teach a Judges’ workshop for Area “A”

When:    May 17-18 2008      Saturday 9 –5   Sunday 9 – 3

Where:   Corinthian Yacht Club

                Marblehead , MA .

Who:      Judges, prospective judges, and others

                interested in learning about Racing Rules and

               Procedures.

Cost:      $30.00/participant. (Make checks payable to John Dieselman)

A Judge’s workshop and test is required of all USSA Judges for recertification every four years and for prospective judges seeking USSA certification. It is also beneficial to all sailors who are interested in racing.

Participants should bring a copy of the current rulebook, appeals book, and judge’s manual as well as a notebook, pen, and pencil with them to the workshop. (A limited number of manuals will be available for purchase at the workshop).

Preparation is strongly recommended for those who are planning to take the test. Study questions can be obtained on the USS website. (Those not taking the exam can plan to depart CYC at 2P.M. on Sunday).

Persons planning to take the Judge’s test must pre-register on line on the US Sailing website or by returning the form below on or before May 2, 2008. To facilitate planning, those not planning to take the test are encouraged to pre-register as well.
