The Eastern Yacht Club Sailing Committee Announces 2013 Winter Speaker Series
Where: All three Speaker events will take place at the Eastern Yacht Club, 47 Foster Street,
Marblehead, MA.
When: February 6, 7pm-8:30pm
Event: Brad White "Preparing Your Boat"
North Sails' Brad White will walk through all the steps you can take this winter and spring - before launching - in order to get the most out of your boat in 2013. Brad will cover everything from the tip of the mast to the bottom of the keel.
Cost: No Charge

When: March 2, 9am-4:30pm
Event: Dave Perry "Understanding the NEW Racing Rules of Sailing"
Rules guru Dave Perry returns to EYC to get all racing sailors up to speed on the new rule book. Dave's all-day presentation will highlight not only the changes in the 2013-2016 RRS, but more importantly, he will focus on your tactical options as they relate to these new rules. This event is likely to fill to capacity, so be sure to sign up now.
Cost: US Sailing Members - $85; Non-members - $115; Jr Sailors/High School Students -
$50. Lunch can be purchased for $10.

Event: Bruce Dyson "2013 Eastern YC Mini Cruises"
Last fall, Vice Commodore Bruce Dyson led an EYC Mini Cruise to Hingham. The Mini Cruise was a great success, and two more Mini Cruises are planned for 2013. Bruce will walk participants through everything they need to know to prepare for and enjoy the Mini Cruises this summer, from boat prep to what types of food to bring, as well as local knowledge for the planned destinations.
