2014 - the Year of the Educated Racer!

From now until June the Marblehead Racing Association has planned several unique opportunities if you have ever thought about doing Race Committee work but didn't know what that meant. Actually, even if you hadn't thought about helping the race committee, these seminars can help you become a better racer.

If you have some sailing experience and good thinking skills, you would be an ideal CLUB JUDGE! And we can help you achieve that status! The one day Club Judge Seminar will be held on Saturday, January 25th at the Eastern. Yacht Club.

EYC judges Nancy Glover and Stephen Jeffries will lead the seminar. Registration and more information can be found here.

or by contacting Nancy Glover at: nancyjglover@hotmail.com

The second opportunity will be to attend the basic Club Race Management Seminar at the Boston Yacht Club on Saturday, April 12th. This is an opportunity to learn how races are conducted: actually it is also a good chance to update your crew skills! Skippers love having someone aboard who is literate about what all the flags mean.

This one day course will be taught by Matt Hill, USSailing's Director of Race Administration, assisted by Susie Schneider.

Registration and more information can be found at here

or by contacting BYCRC Chair Karen Tenenbaum at: ktenenbaum@gmail.com

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
