Advanced Race Management Seminar - May 5-6, 2018

The Eastern Yacht Club Race Committee, in conjunction with US Sailing, is offering a seminar for experienced race officers to refresh and increase their knowledge of such topics as organizing an event, regatta safety, writing the notice of race and sailing instructions, race committee equipment and preparations, setting the starting line, setting the course, starting, finishing and scoring.

What to Bring:
You will need your own copy of The Racing Rules of Sailing and The Race Management Handbook.

Study Materials:
You should answer the Advanced Race Management Study Questions. People interested in becoming certified by US Sailing as Regional or National Race Officers must attend this seminar and pass the associated test. Details of the other requirements for certification are available at the Race Officer section of the US Sailings web site.

Registration Information
: The $125 seminar fee includes course material, online testing, continental breakfast and lunch. As this is a two day seminar, rooms are available for Friday and Saturday night at the Club. Dinner will also be available by reservation.

There are 25 slots left, so Enroll Now. Online registration closes on Monday, April 30th @ 2355 (Eastern). Walk-in registrations are not available for this seminar.
