EYC Sailing Committee Speaker Series

Preventative Engine & System Maintenance

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 / 7:30pm

EYC Sailing Center

The EYC Sailing Committee invites you to a seminar on preventative engine & system maintenance, and how to install an inexpensive solar battery charger that you can stow while underway. This event is appropriate for owners of any boat with an engine: center consoles, cruisers, racers and tenders alike.

Bad fuel, weak batteries, failing cooling systems, sensors and instrument networks gone bad can happen anywhere and at any time. Whether your idea of a nice boat outing is a trip to Sand Dollar Cove in Manchester, the Eastern Cruise or doing the delivery home from Antigua, the fundamentals of being prepared always makes for safer and worry free boating.

We will be joined by panelists Ed Nolan - Lead mechanic at Dion's Yacht Yard, Rob Gorman – Sales/Service Manager at Dion's Yacht Yard, and Charlie Van Dusen - NautiCloud. This group, who have tons of experience, will teach you the tricks to becoming even more self-sufficient, what spares and tools you need, and how to use them. Come prepared to ask them questions!

This event is free and open to the public.
