Dave Perry/North U Match Race Clinic at CYC - May 18-20

Are you interested in match racing?

Top match race coach and rules guru Dave Perry is coming to the Corinthian Yacht Club May 18-20 to instruct a weekend match race clinic. We are thrilled to have Dave who is a 5 time US Sailing Match Race Champion, teach us match racing. Sailing will be in our club Sonars so you don't even need to bring a boat! Registration is open now by completing the Dave Perry Match Race Clinic - Registration Form. You can register as an individual or as a team of 3 or 4.

Key highlights are:

• No match race experience is required to participate. The clinic is focused on getting us familiar with the rules and strategies employed in match racing - and then putting it into practice on the water.
• Sailing will be in our harbor Sonars.
• Clinic begins with an optional on-the-water session Friday afternoon (5/18) focused on boat handling with Dave.
• Official kick off is Friday evening (5/18) with dinner and a chalk talk on match race principles and key rules.
• Saturday (5/19) will include on-the-water drills and practice followed by an on shore debrief including video from the day. Includes pizza during debrief.
• Sunday (5/20) includes more drills and some practice races.
• Register either as an individual or with a team. Note: Each participant must register individually and indicate on the form who you plan to sail with if you have a team. The link to register is in the notice of clinic and above
• Cost is minimal at $75/person and includes burgers / dogs Friday night, pizza Saturday evening and a box lunch both days.
