North Sails and Team Nor'Easter at Harborside Realty will present a screening of Morning Light at the Marblehead High School Auditorium on Sunday, May 23, with proceeds of the event benefiting Pleon.
The May 23, 2010, event will include an introduction and Q & A with cast and crew member Charlie Enright. The movie chronicles the adventures of one of the youngest crews ever to sail the Transpacific Yacht Race to Hawaii.
Morning Light is a real-life adventure feature film created during the 44th TRANSPAC, a project led by race veteran Roy Disney. The film chronicles the recruitment, intense training, and performance of the young sailors as they prepared for and sailed the 2007 race.
This inspiring story teaches many lessons about competition, teamwork and what the sea teaches us all about patience, perseverance and luck.
The evening will start with a brief introduction by crew member Charlie Enright. Immediately following the movie screening, Charlie will hold a Q & A session.
Sponsors of the screening include Team Nor'Easter at Harborside Realty and North Sails. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase before the showing and snacks will be available to purchase during intermission.
