The Marblehead Racing Association (MRA) has been established by the Boston, Corinthian and Eastern Yacht Clubs to coordinate and foster One Design Racing in the Marblehead area. Its racing program encourages the development of competitive racing skills at all levels, sportsmanship, and the highest levels of competence in race management. Racing is scheduled several series over many weekends for the ten local classes from May to September each year.

The highlight MRA Regatta is Marblehead Race Week, which was established in 1889. In recent years the senior divisions have been incorporated with the National Offshore One Design (NOOD) Regatta for a unique and exciting event. In conjunction with the Junior Division, typically attracts upwards of 200 boats. The Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta @ Race Week will be held from July 24 through July 27, 2008.

Many other races and events occur throughout the summer. Boston YC  hosts the Jackson Cup Team Racing in April, Eastern YC hosts the 505 Spring Regatta, Corinthian YC hosts the David J. Smith Regatta in J/24 class, and Corinthian YC hosts the Lighting New England District Championship in July,

MRA continues to be excited about Maureen McKinnon-Tucker & Nick Scandone's Paralympic Campaign - Beijing 2008. Visit: Sail, Inspire, Challenge Inc. encourages elite Paralympic level disabled sailing, as well as administering and promoting participation in disable sailing related programs, events and activities in Massachusetts and adjacent waters.

MRA season standings can be found here, once the season begins of course!
