Eastern Yacht Club Speaker Series - JB Braun Discusses the America's Cup

The 35th America's Cup Finals approaches in June. Our own JB Braun, who is working on his 6th America's cup campaign - and the fourth time as a designer for ORACLE TEAM USA - kicks off our Speaker Series on November 17th in the EYC Sailing Center. JB will tell us what to look for as we edge closer to the event. He has also participated in designs for the Volvo Ocean Race, the Comanche program and countless cutting edge race boats around the world.
Currently, JB is involved in "the leading edge of advanced sail performance prediction tools" focused on balancing aero and hydro dynamics. For North Sails, he is the project leader for 3Di, directly responsible for the engineering and analysis of the structures and integrating revolutionary design & construction techniques of 3Di technology into the North Sails product line.
For ORACLE TEAM USA, JB works on integrating aerodynamic research into design and performance, working as part of the design team creating the revolutionary foiling cat's that defended the 2013 America's Cup.
